Here goes…

There’s no denying just how lovely this boutique art apartment is. Smack dab in the heart of Krupowki, it has arguably the best location of any accomodation in town. Delve inside and you’ll find interiors adorned with vintage ski equipment and local artworks. The style is vintage-chic, the beds are ultra comfy, and the options with roof terraces also benefit from sweeping 180-degree views of the mountains.

Located about 20 minutes’ walk south of the main town, Apartament Verona is perfect if you prize access to the national park above other things. It’s modern, stylishly done, and housed in a brand new complex that oozes a sort of Scandi charm, plus comes with private on-site parking.

A five-minute drive out of town towards the wildflower-filled valleys to the west, this lovely set of apartments enjoys balconies with head-on views over Giewont mountain and a charming interior style that’s local through and through. The bathrooms are especially luxury. Great choice if you’re keen to visit the Chocholow Valley and thermal baths.

The three-bedroom options here can sleep up to 10 people if you make use of sofa beds and all rooms. But they rarely feel cramped and come with sumptuous interios that would put them in the 5-star category if they were hotels for sure. Location is great – quiet enough to sleep well, close enough to the national park for day walks/skis, but still within walking distance to town.

Family travelers are likely to love Apartament Zakopiański 49. It’s clean, spacious, and modern, yet also delivers on the extras: There’s an onsite playground and indoor playroom. Plus, the adults can escape to the spa to use the onsite hammam and sauna whenever they like.

There’s a handful of very nice couples’ apartments at Green Deer Premium. They’re close to the mountain trails and the ski jumps and do well to balance local desing features with some luxury. The best units have master bedrooms that spill onto balconies overlooking the forests. And there’s an on-site spa with a lovely hot tub.

There’s a wide variety of apartments on offer here, from studios for couples right up to penthouse family flats with big living spaces and balconies. They’re all very well kept and have access to a fun spa-health facility on the bottom floor, complete with a circular pool and sauna.

Another fantastic family pick, VIP Apartamenty, ORKANA APART even come with private play areas in certain properties. You can get two- or three-bedroom units, some of which come with dedicated parking, but check ahead. The style, the brightness, and the modern kitchens are all things we loved. Oh yea, and there’s the location – Krupowki is literally steps outside the front door!

Willa Jarosta touts a homey set of apartments at the livlier south end of Krupowki Street. Some are small, but some are big enough for your whole crew, offering multiple private bedrooms and bathrooms. Many of the options have balconies to boot, plus there’s a spa on site, with a cracking indoor hot tub and sauna.

There’s a single apartment (sleeps 4) and a maisonette (sleeps 6) at the Apartamenty ForRest Nowotarska. Each is done out in a charming highlander style, with wood-panelled walls, faux-fur pillows and hanging lantern lights. It’s a solid, solid option that we choose if we want good value for money near to the sights and sounds of Krupowki Street (the main drag).

Why choose an apartment over a hotel in Zakopane?

Zakopane apartments

Choosing an apartment rental in Zakopane over traditional hotel stays or other accommodations offers a multitude of advantages, catering to those seeking a blend of comfort, privacy, and authenticity during their stay.

One of the most significant benefits is the sense of home it provides, with spacious living areas, fully-equipped kitchens, and the flexibility to follow your schedule, be it for meals, relaxation, or entertaining guests.

This arrangement is particularly appealing for families or groups, where communal living spaces allow for shared experiences without the constraints of hotel rooms, which tend to be a alot smaller.

Additionally, apartments often come with the charm of local architecture and interiors. That’s very important in Zakopane – the town is famed across Poland for its unique aesthetic of timber-carved walls and cosy wood interiors.

Finally, apartments can offer better value for money. That’s especially true for longer stays or groups, as they often include amenities like laundry and cooking facilities, reducing the need for dining out and other service fees typical of hotels.

You might also find that there are more apartments in locations more suited to what you’re after. For example, you’ll often find more apartments near the ski slopes, or near the entrance to the national park for summer hiking.
